[Illsyore’s point of view]

Spider-man was running across the rooftops side by side with me. At times, he used his web to pull himself across, while other time he nimbly parkour over the obstacles. Meanwhile, I was just jumping from one ledge to another, but I tried my best not to damage the rooftops.

“So, this guy you told me we were going to meet. Is he some sort of weirdo?” I asked.

“Who? Tony Stark? He’s not a weirdo, although many do say he is, but that man’s a genius, probably one of the smartest humans on this planet.” Spider-man replied as he stopped on top of the edge of the building in front of me.

“Genius? So, he dabbles with science thingies, right?” I asked.

“Yes... science thingies.” he squinted his eyes at me.

“What?” I asked tilting my head to the left.

“You don’t really know much about inter-dimensional travel, do you?” he asked me.

“Erm... You can say that.” I nodded.

“Well, besides him, Doctor Strange would be our second-best option, but he’s a hard guy to contact. I mean you should see his waiting list!” he laughed.

“I don’t know if I would like to meet someone called Doctor Strange...” I said shaking my head.

“That’s just how we call him, but if Tony Stark is an unparalleled genius in technology, Doctor Strange is the unparalleled genius in magic!” he said wiggling his fingers in the air.

“Magic you say?” I raised an eyebrow.

“Yeah. By the way, you really don’t know any of these names?” he asked me.

I shook my head. “No.”

“Hm, that’s strange.” he said and then continued to run across the rooftops.

I followed him as he led me to one of the buildings in this city, a huge tower with a big A on it.

When he reached the building across, he stopped and turned around.

“Welcome to the Avengers Tower! What do you think?” he asked.

“This sciency guy lives here?” I asked.

“Yup!” he nodded. “Come on!” he then jumped over the ledge, and I followed him.

While he used his webs to slow down, I merely countered with pure strength and dexterity. The passersby looked at us a bit surprised at first, but then they continued their way as if this was something normal to them.

Although most of these people are around or below Beginner Rank, they seem to used to seeing individuals far more powerful than them. If this was the Earth I lived on, then the first thing they would have done was try to take a selfie with us or a video to upload on their social networks. I thought as I followed Spider-man to the entrance into the tower.

Before I entered, I expanded my Dungeon Territory and scanned the place. It was filled with traps and all sort of sensors and weapons. This place was a literal fortress, but there were many gaps in its security for someone like me. The worst I could do to this place was absorb it based on atom type and avoid all the biological lifeforms within it. Then it would be just a bunch of naked avengers dropping to the ground like rocks.

“Interesting place.” I said as I entered the building.

“It’s AWESOME!” said Spider-man.

“By the way, how old are you?” I asked him.

“Me? I’m as old as the Universe and as young as the planet!” he laughed.

As old as the Universe? That can’t be... then again. Show Status. I thought.

[Name]: Peter Parker (known as Spider-man)

[Species]: Homo Sapiens Novus

[Variant]: Mutate Arachnid-Spliced

[Level]: 867

Well... I can’t guess by his level, but this is interesting. According to my Dungeon scans, this individual is regarded as something different than human. Arachnid-Spliced? Does this mean his genes were spliced with spider DNA? And Mutate? That’s an unknown term to me... It’s a bit weird though that he’s speaking English, and I’m reading this stuff in the Dungeon Language. Sigh... I closed the window.

We passed the guards without a problem, and while we were on the elevator, I asked him:

“So, 20 something?” I asked.

“Age and name are part of a superhero’s secret.” he told me as he patted my back.

“Is that so?” I replied and kept it to myself that I knew a bit more than his name.

When we finally reached the last floor, the doors opened. Spider-man was the first one to get out, and I followed him.

Looking around, I noticed that this place was covered with metallic walls behind which countless wires were hidden. It was as if this whole place was a machine. It was rather intriguing, but I doubted it could transform into some sort of big robot or spaceship.

“What do you think? Isn’t it cool?” asked Spider-man.

“Rather than cool, I find this place to be... intriguing.” I told him.

“That’s good, I guess. Ah! Look! Here comes the Hulk! Hi, Hulk!” he told me and then pointed at this big giant green man covered in muscles from head to toe and wearing nothing but a pair of purple shorts.

A giant goblin? I wondered.

“Hm, Spider-man. Friend. And this... Puny human?” the big fellow asked.

“Erm... Hello? I’m Illsyore.” I said with a wry smile. Show Status I thought.

[Name]: Bruce Banner/Hulk

[Species]: Homo Sapiens Novus

[Variant]: Mutate Gamma Radiation Abnormality

[Level]: 1765

I’m beginning to believe that all of these heroes are actually unique members of their own species if they were to be analyzed at a genetic level, but for my sake, they were dropped in the same species category: Homo Sapiens Novus. Or in other words: New Intelligent Man. If these traits can be passed down to their children, then it is possible that their species name will change. I thought and then asked “Are you two married?”

Both of them looked at me as if I said something strange.

“What?! I’m not married to him!” retorted Spider-man.

“Me and puny spider?! Your brain must be mush, but Hulk doesn’t remember smashing you!” retorted the big guy.

“Erm, what?” I asked tilting my head.

“What made you think in the first place that me and Hulk are in THAT sort of relationship?” he asked me.

“What? Spider-man and the Hulk got married? WOW! That’s news!” said a woman with red hair and captivating green eyes.

She was wearing a skintight black leather outfit.

“Huh?! No! No! No! Black Widow, you got it ALL WRONG! Well, Jen maybe, but not THE HULK!” Spider-man retorted.

“Yes! Me not married to Puny Spider! Me like pretty ladies! And you stay away from my cousin!” said the Hulk.

“Well, I guess I made a mistake?” I said as I rubbed my chin but put a very unconvinced face just for the sake of comedy.

“Leaving these two aside, who are you?” Black Widow asked.

“Me? I’m Illsyore!” I replied with a smile and stretched my hand for a handshake.

“Alright... You can call me Natasha or Black Widow, whatever you like. And who are you exactly?” she asked squinting her eyes at me and holding my hand tight.

She was trying to squeeze it, but I barely felt the pressure.

Show Status. I thought.

[Name]: Natalia Alianovna Romanova (known as Natasha Romanova/Black Widow)

[Species]: Homo Sapiens Sapiens

[Variant]: Caucasian

[Level]: 578

“You’re a human?” I asked surprised.

“Yes. Why? Is it strange seeing one of us among those like them?” she asked pointing at Hulk and Spider-man.

“Yes.” I nodded.

“Hmph.” she squinted her eyes and let go of my hand. “Why are you here?” she asked.

“To see a genius about a way to travel to another dimension and if possible, find something good to eat. Unfortunately, my wife’s not here, so I can’t eat her delicious cooking.” I let out a sigh as I was already missing Tamara’s dishes.

“You are married?” Natasha asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Yes... Is that strange?” I asked.

“No.” she shook her head and then walked past me. “Stark is up in his lab tinkering with his gizmos.”

“Gizmos? You call the most advanced pieces of technology on this planet gizmos?!” Spider-man replied as if he took offense in the term.

The woman said nothing and continued on her merry way.

I looked back at the Hulk and said “I apologize for my rude remarks earlier.”

“Hmph! Hulk forgives. Hulk is not feeling good. Ran out of pickles.” he said and then stomped away.

“Yeah, don’t mess with his pickles or his tiny crystal sculpture collection.” Spider-man pointed out.

“I’ll keep that in mind.” I nodded.

After this strange encounter, we made our way to Tony Stark’s lab, which was filled with all sorts of devices and technologies I had never seen before: machines that appeared to be creating matter from holograms; floating mini construction robots; lasers and other beam generators; powerful computers and many many other amazing things.

“There’s the genius!” Spider-man said as he pointed at a handsome man with an elegant style and a certain high-class air around him.

This individual was wearing a red and yellow power armor without its helmet equipped. He was analyzing something on his holographic screen.

“Hey there, Spider-man. You know, I’ve been tracking this weird energy signature which popped up on the scanners not that long ago. I have no idea what it is, but it’s somehow connected to Magic?” he said while rubbing his chin.

“Hello! And what signature are you talking about?” Spider-man asked as he jumped to his side and looked at the screen.

“This one.” he pointed at a red wave.

“Strange... I’ve never seen anything like this, and the source seems to be very close.” he said.

I wonder? I then retracted my Dungeon Territory.

“It’s gone!” Spider-man exclaimed.

“No... it was pulled back... And the origin is... right behind me?” Tony Stark said as he furrowed his brow and then turned around.

“Hello!” I said with a wry smile as I lifted my hand up.

“Who and what are you?” he asked.

“Me? I’m just your friendly neighborhood Dungeon Lord. And my name is Illsyore. Nice to meet you, Tony Stark!” I said as I reached out for a handshake.

“Likewise... You know of me, but I never heard of you.” he said with a bit of a wary look in his eyes.

“No wonder, he dropped into our dimension today. I met him when I stopped Shocker and the Kingpin’s goons from robbing a bank. I think he’s one of us, a good guy.” Spider-man vouched for me.

“While you may think that, you can’t always judge a book by its cover, Spider-man. Besides, you were the source of the weird energy, right? What is it?” he asked.

“Hm? That was my Dungeon Territory, basically, a way for me to make sure I’m safe and not in any sort of danger.” I replied.

“Is it alive?” he asked.

“Sort of... It’s part of me.” I said as I patted my chest.

Technically, it was like an invisible organ, but I left that part out.

“I see... So why are you here? Where did you come from?” he asked.

“To go back to where I came from, and I have no idea where I came from.” I replied honestly.

“Huh?” he blinked surprised.

“He wants to go back to his own dimension, but he doesn’t know how. You think you can help him out or should we wait for Doctor Strange?” Spider-man asked.

“Well, if our visitor here has no ill intent towards the people of this world and simply wishes to go back, I see no reason in not helping him out, but I don’t think we’ll need Doctor Strange for this one. Just in case, I have him on speed dial.” Tony Stark replied.

“You have Doctor Strange on speed dial?” Spider-man asked.

“Yes. Who do you think I am?” he asked.

“Billionaire, genius, philanthropist, big man in a metal suit?” he replied.

“True, and also someone who has a lot of important people on Speed Dial.” he said.

“How many buttons does your phone have?” he asked.

“None. I use a voice command. Call Spider-man.” he said, then Spider-man’s phone rang.

“Hello?” he replied.

“See? Now...” and just when he turned around to tell me something, several explosions were heard and the whole tower shook.

“What the?!” Tony Stark said.

“I think you should tell your neighbors to keep the music down, the ceiling is shaking!” said Spider-man.

“Usually, it’s me who turns the music up like that. Wait a minute. HELEN! Find whatever caused those explosions and put it on screen.” said Stark.

“Understood. Scanning. Source located. Currently, there are around 500 targets marked as enemy flying around the Avengers Tower. Scans confirm that they are all part of H.I.V.E. I’m detecting MODOK as well. Shall I put him on screen?” the female AI asked after she holographically manifested in front of us.

She was... an orange data stream with the face of a human woman.

“MODOK knows you are watching, Iron Man! Soon, MODOK will have control over the Avengers Tower, and soon... THE WORLD! MUHAHAHA!” he laughed.

“Is that a giant flying bobble head” I asked.

“That’s a giant flying bobble head.” replied Spider-man.

“That’s a very accurate description actually.” said Tony Stark and then after opening the communication channel, he asked “What do you want MODOK? Didn’t I beat you last Friday?”

“You may have won that battle, Iron Man! But this time, it shall be me who wins! And all thanks to my new secret weapon!” he said with a loud laugh.

“Nyahaha! It’s time to get some smashing done!” someone said in the Shorayan Language.

“What was that?” Spider-man asked.

“Who is that?” Tony Stark asked.

Cameras changed to the person in question, and there she was...

“My wife... Nanya. What in the name of the Holy God of Big Boobs is she doing there?!” I asked.

The other two looked at me as if I said something strange.

“The what god now?” MODOK asked as if interested.
