~ Chapter 107: Healing their dreams ~

[Illsyore's point of view]

With my new slaves acquired, we left Kantor and stopped at about two kilometers away from it. Tamara, Shanteya, and Ayuseya began to set up camp, while Nanya and Zoreya were checking the health status of our new slaves. They all looked worried about their uncertain future, especially the dancer, while the Supreme reacted like an overgrown doll without a mind of its own.

This sight of her was a bit disturbing, however, before I got down to business, I went to recover some of my initial investment.

Six kilometers should be enough... I thought and expanded my Dungeon Territory.

I didn't fear the possibility of encountering other Dungeons. Chances were that if I did, I was going to end up shattering their territories to bits and pieces. Afterwards, I left my body and flew towards Kantor.

Seeing the town at night and from a bird's eye view was something impressive, but the dark-colored theme and countless smoke trails gave me a discomforting feeling about it. Either way, I wasn't here for sightseeing.

I flew towards Marquise Garanteux' mansion and stopped right at the room where the coins for the entrance fee were stored. If I wanted to rob him dry, I had to take all of the coins, but if I wanted to mess around with him, I just had to take a third of it and replace it with something else.

And so I did!

After absorbing the coins, I filled three thirds of it with rocks and dirt then added coins to cover the top. At first glance, it would appear as though the money was safe, but if they were to dig a bit down, they would find the rocks.

There were a few guards patrolling the area, but I didn't need use the door to come in, so I didn't announce my presence. Their hearing wasn't so sharp as to catch me in the act either. They were probably thinking that no one could go past them anyway.

Afterwards, I flew around, searching for the room where the Marquise stored the three million coins I gave him. I put a small tracking spell on one of them. So, following the scent like a bloodhound, I found the said room with ease.

When I flew past the mean-looking guards, I saw an insane number of coffers filled to the brim with gold coins. The first feeling that rushed through me in front of this much money was of exasperation. I really did not want to go through each and every single one of those coffers, but I did want to prank the Marquise and give him a very BIG hole in his pockets.

Mass-producing a version of a coffer filled with sand was a possibility as well, but every coffer here looked differently and worse of all, unlike those in the guard room, these ones had a spell cast on them. It was a magic that allowed someone to open the coffer ONLY if they spoke the right words.

“I guess I can't poke fun at the Marquise for having a lax security...” I grumbled as I flew towards the first coffer.

With a burst of Magic Energy, I shattered the spell to bits and unlocked it. The thought of having some of the coins enchanted with special curses or tracking spells also bothered me, so I blasted them with burst of Magic Energy just to be sure. As expected, a glass shattering sound could be heard coming from several of them.

Thus, with this part out of the way, I absorbed all the coins inside, filled three thirds of the chest with sand and then poured shiny gold coins on top. It was a grind and repeat from here on, but once I was done, I had opened ALL the coffers in this room!

“Kukuku! 248 Coffers! I felt like I was going to go mad!” I cried to myself.

Why am I bothering with this and not just absorbing everything in sight? Oh yes, because I want it to look like a robbery done by a pro... It would make the Marquise mad and annoyed! I'm sure he'll go through all of these chests! So yes, I want to annoy him! I want to make him suffer for making me go through all of these chests! Wait a second... that last part doesn't sound right, but this gave me a genius idea! Muhahaha! This puny mortal shall rue the day he decided to mess around with me! Although, technically, he himself did nothing and is just a part of a greater flawed system. Aw spinach! Let's just get over with this before I Colly Tos the entire continent out of sheer annoyance... I told myself with an evil smirk and my patience reaching dangerously insane levels.

The Pirate King's vault and on that entire Pirate Island were countless of empty coffers. I pulled several of them from my inner mind and dropped them in the middle of the room. Using a Summoning Spell, I called out a Stink Slime. This little fellow was a humble level 10 monster, but when it attacked and when it was killed, it released such a pungent stench it made you puke instantly. For those with Godlike Magic Armor, it was just a very unpleasant and annoying odor.

“Pugy! Pugy!” the little slime jiggled in the coffer.

I gave it a bit of food and then ordered it to attack the one who opened the lid. I did this for another 50 or so coffers and then mixed them up real good among all the others inside this vast room.

Once I was done, I flew around the mansion a bit more and nonchalantly added a very simple water sprout trap INSIDE every single toilet. The first one to sit on it was going to end up washed out of the room and down the hall. I also added an ice enchantment on each and every stove and oven in the entire mansion.

The last thing I did was to absorb their entire food, condiments, coal, and firewood supply.

Satisfied, I flew away and returned to my body. There was no need to watch the effect. I could already imagine it, and it was GLORIOUS!

Kukuku! Serves them right! Well... they shouldn't die because of those little pranks, however, their pockets will certainly have trouble recuperating. I thought with a smirk.

It didn't take me too long to return to my body. I pulled back my Dungeon Territory and then stretched my body for a bit. To be honest, I didn't even bother to count my spoils, but I certainly gained more than three million coins from all of those coffers.

“How did it go?” asked Ayuseya as she came over and offered me a cup of freshly brewed tea.

“Thank you.” I said and took the tea “It was pretty easy to steal some of the gold back and play a few pranks on the Marquise, but I doubt they will find anything in the following hours.” I said and then took a sip from the tea “Then again, they could be all too eager to count the coins and right about now they are cursing their luck.” I shrugged.

“Sounds like you had fun. If you ever need to build a dungeon or anything to loosen up a bit, just let us know. We'll wait for you to finish.” she told me with a gentle smile.

I nodded and then took another sip from my tea.

Dungeons had the inner desire to build and create something. It was an urge, a tickle if you could call it that, which never ceased, but it would often calm down simply by building something anywhere.

The way I was calming my desire to build was through everyday use of absorption and construction, but once in a while, I felt the need to expand my territory and build a few levels just for the fun of it.

With the construction of my Magic Academy, I planned on calming down this itch by having several unique dungeons prepared for both my students and random adventurers. They could enjoy exploring them, while I would have fun building them.

Still, until then, I had to reach the location where I planned to build everything. I also had to find more students and teachers to work there. There were a lot of things I had to do, and a lot more I wanted to do and improve.

There was still time for everything, I wasn't in a hurry, and I also wanted to enjoy this journey. With my other constructions or just with my Over Supreme abilities, I could easily take all of my slaves and reach that place in less than a day. Supersonic speeds weren't an impossibility for us. Heck, if I wanted to, I could easily travel even at hypersonic speeds, but then... the journey would become just a fleeting moment. Both me and my wives wanted to experience traveling through the country like this. We wanted to meet new people but also see how much we have changed in the past six years by simply interacting with everyone.

As Ayuseya said back there on top of the mountain, with a single attack, she could have wiped the entire capital of Teslov off the face of the planet. Completely getting rid of her past but killing countless of innocent draconians in the process. Each of us were capable of absurd things, but what mattered the most was not how powerful we were, but how we used our power. In regard to this part, we were all still learning...

Taking another sip of my tea, I looked up at Ayuseya. She was looking back at me with pink colored cheeks and a gentle smile on her lips. Her golden tail was swaying left and right, partially covered by her knee-length battle-skirt. The armor on her chest was of her own design but created by me. If a Supreme punched her, she wouldn't even feel it. All of us had absurd armors at this point, weapons too. Yet, I could not see her as an entity capable of ripping mountains in half. Before me stood not a princess, not an Over Supreme, just my wonderful draconian wife who loved to be embraced and kissed by me, who cherished books and had a bit of a sweet tooth, who cared for those weaker than her and often thought more than all of us put together.

“Is something the matter?” she asked me with a puzzled gaze in her eyes.

“No, I was just admiring your beauty.” I replied and then took another sip from my tea.

She blushed strongly and then giggled.

I finished my tea in silence while looking at the camp. Ayuseya went to help Tamara set up the table, while Nanya was explaining the rules to the new slaves. Shanteya was reading a book to the children, but some of the adults were also listening curiously. They had some funny reactions when she was describing something incredible, going: 'Oooh! Ah! WOW! Really? Such a thing!'.

I guess the fact that she's pregnant sparked her motherly instincts... She's trying to be ready for when the babies come, but I can tell that she's worried as to whether or not she will be a good mother for them. I can't lie, I'm worried too if I will be a good father or not. I thought and then let out a sigh, hoping no weird spells were going to be inherited by my children.

When I looked around, I saw Zoreya next to the MCV. She was kneeling in front of her shield and saying a prayer to Melkuth. The god was probably looking down at us as at this very moment.

Letting out a sigh, I looked up at the starry sky and gave those gods a small prayer myself. They helped us as well in their own way, and honestly speaking, I felt as though they were constantly watching over us, making sure we weren't blowing up their planet by accident.

Before we all sat down to eat, I walked over to the new slaves and asked Nanya “How are things going?”

“Ah, Illsy! Well... those who are still here understand the rules, but the others...” she looked at the Supreme, the Cook, the Alchemist, and the Dancer, who was still crying.

“They are a bit damaged...” I said.

When she heard me, the woman of Asian descent clenched her jaw and looked at the ground. I struck a nerve, but at the very least, I understood what had to be fixed.

“ALRIGHT!” I said clapping my hands.

“NYA!” Tamara was startled by the sudden loud noise and tossed the spoon filled with hot soup, which flew through the air and landed on top of my head.

I merely squinted my eyes as the liquid flowed down on my face.

“That's not the proper way to eat soup, Illsy.” Nanya giggled and went to return the spoon.

After quickly washing my hair with a water ball spell, I dried myself with a hot air spell Nanya cast for me. Of course, I didn't suffer any damage from either of them because I constantly maintained a thin Magic Armor around my body, all of us did. The other one, which was bigger and denser wasn't activated at the moment.

With a sigh escaping my lips, I walked up to the Alchemist and snapped my fingers in front of his eyes.

He reacted by blinking twice.

“What do you want?” he asked in a tone that showed neither submission nor care.

“Ferris Rithhold, I heard you lost your lab, is this what's bothering you?” I asked him.

The man looked down and let out a sigh.

“Yes... together with all of my research.” he replied.

“Did you hear what Nanya said earlier?” I asked him.

“Huh? Who?” Ferris replied tilting his head to the left.

“I see... Well, what if I told you I plan on letting you work in an alchemy lab again researching what you want, but at a cost?” I asked him with a smile.

“You would?! What do you want? How much? Ah yes, I'm a slave now... Argh! Erm... What can I do to have you let me research again?! I'll do anything!” he asked in a bit of a desperate tone of voice.

Ferris even clung to me, but I didn't push him away. I placed my arms on his shoulders and showed him a smile.

“You'll teach at my Academy and sell your potions to the adventurers who want to delve into my dungeons!” I told him.

“Academy? Dungeons? Erm... Sure, I can do that. But will this mean that I will have access to an alchemy laboratory and as many herbs as I want?” Ferris asked.

“And more. If you can research other things besides healing potions, it would be wonderful!” I told him.

“Absolutely! Anything you desire!” he declared with a bright smile.

“Good! Now go and eat before you pass out from hunger.” I told him and pointed him at the table.

“Thank you!” the man bowed a few times and then went to the table, sporting a big bright smile on his face.

Now that was easy. I told myself then looked at the cook.

The woman was of Asian descent and what I knew of her so far was that she suffered a great deal for her passion and talents. Looking at her missing hands, I could tell how much it hurt her.

“Yung May, right?” I asked her.

She nodded slowly.

“Do you like to cook?” I asked her.

Her expression contorted into one of pain, but she nodded slowly.

“Would you like to teach others how to cook at my academy?” I asked her.

“I can't cook anymore...” Yung replied and lifted her arms up, showing me how they have been mutilated.

Tears formed in the corners of her eyes and flowed down on her cheeks.

“I lost my life... I can't cook...” she said.

Her life? I guess for those who are focused on a specific art like her, their hands are their life. I thought.

“Even so, I wish to ask. If you could... cook again, what would you do?” I asked.

Yung looked down at her missing hands and with tears in her eyes replied “I would cook... I would make delicious meals for anyone I could. I would do anything to be able to hold a knife in my hands again... to be able to hold the pan and prepare a meal... to see the smiles my meals bring to those who eat them.” she said.

“Alright. I understand.” I nodded and closed my eyes for a moment.

She wasn't telling a lie, but I couldn't tell if she had any intention of teaching anyone her skills or she was just a cooking maniac. This troubled me a little.

Maybe I'm not asking the right question? I wondered.

“Hm, there's also the position of a Master Chef, so...” nodding to myself, I opened my eyes and then told her “Alright! Time to have some fun with you!” I smiled and rubbed my hands together.

Yung flinched and took a step back.

BONK!

A mysterious pan flew through the air and hit me right on the back of my head, sending me flying past Yung and into the bush behind her.

“Ouch!” I retorted rubbing my head. “Who threw this?!” I said and lifted the anvil.

Wait a second! An anvil? I blinked surprised when I looked at the hunk of metal. I could have sworn it was a pan! I thought.

Back at the tables, I saw Nanya glaring at me and holding another one in her hand.

“What are you thinking of doing to the poor woman?” she growled.

“Don't mind them, children. They are just being silly.” Shanteya said, ignoring the entire commotion.

“I didn't do any... thing...” I said and stopped mid-sentence as my brain remembered the past few moments “Ah! Wait! I didn't mean it like that, Nanya! It's not what you think!” I retorted.

“Hmph! It better be! I'm not letting you increase our number to six!” she glared.

“If that happens, Nanya will dry up.” Ayuseya remarked with a soft giggled.

“What did you say?” the demoness now switched her target to the dragoness.

“Oh, nothing! Now come one, help me set up the table.” she avoided the subject and offered Nanya a bunch of plates.

After reabsorbing the anvil inside her own Inner Mind, Nanya tossed me another glare and then took the plates.

Letting out a sigh I absorbed the anvil in my hand and then walked up to the now slightly frightened cook. At the very least she did not look so lifeless anymore.

“Sigh... Well, what I meant to say, and I apologize for before, was that I am going to have some fun healing you! Now, let me see your arms.” I told her and extended my Dungeon Territory to include her as well.

“What? Heal? But how?” she asked confused.

“Oh, it's simple. I'll just regrow your hands, no biggie.” I replied with a shrug.

“Pardon?” she tilted her head to the left confused.

Ignoring her stupefied reaction, I began to work by applying the same healing technique I did on everyone else. Regrowing a limb wasn't as difficult as it was modifying the genetic information in someone's cells... or turning them young again. In the end, it took me just a few minutes to accomplish this feat. I also healed some of her scars resulted from physical abuse like whipping or beating.

When I was done, the other slaves and Yung May herself were looking in surprise at this astonishing feat. Although she was a bit thinner now because I had to take the matter from somewhere, Yung had two perfectly functional hands.

“Is this... Is this real?” she asked as she flexed her fingers.

The moment she realized it wasn't an illusion, she burst into a cry and hugged me.

“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” she kept on repeating while soaking my clothes in tears.

With a gentle smile on my lips, I patted the woman's back and waited for her to calm down.

When she did, Tamara was next to me and showing Yung a big bright smile.

“Want to cook with me?” she asked her while offering her cooking knife.

“Huh? Is it alright? I mean... I...” she was still overwhelmed by this, but with a cheerful smile, she nodded and replied “YES! I want to cook!”

The bright aura of her smile almost made me blind, but it was good that she recovered so quickly. Having a gloomy slave with no desire to live would do me no good. Besides, it wouldn't be long now before I returned their freedom to them.

Yung followed Tamara to the table, where they began to prepare the last batch of food for everyone. The moment she started cutting a tomato into thin slices, I noticed both the dexterity and precision with which she handled the knife. There was no sign of hesitation in her movements. It was like she never went through the pain of losing her hands, but the tears that kept pouring down her cheeks told me otherwise. She was so happy to be able to cook again, it left us all just staring at her in awe.

Who knew someone could love their job so much? I thought.

I nodded, satisfied with the good deed I did and then walked up to the dancer.

She wasn't crying anymore, just looking at me with a surprised expression on her face. Up until I healed Yung, she had been sitting on the ground, crying and trembling in fear of what was to become of her.

“Lumia Shora, right? Are you alright?” I asked her in a gentle tone of voice as I offered my hand to help her get up.

“I-I... Yes.” she replied with a nod as she wiped off her tears and took my hand.

Standing up, I looked at her from head to toe. She was dressed pretty shabby, in a simple linen toga tied at the waist with a rope, just like all the other slaves at the auction. For those I bought, I planned on giving them all a new pair of clothes, but this was after they ate and took a bath.

But speaking of Lumia, she was quite beautiful, with no extra fat anywhere, an average chest size, and curves formed from all those dancing hours. In the eyes of a greedy noble, she was a beauty to die for, while for others a means of gaining a bit of good luck, she was of the black variant, after all.

“So you are a dancer, correct?” I asked.

Lumia nodded and looked down shyly.

“I would like to see you dance. Is that alright with you?” I asked her.

“I'm sorry, but I don't know that kind of dance...” she replied and tried hard not to look into my eyes.

“That kind?” I blinked surprised.

She nodded.

“Erm... What is she talking about?” I asked as I looked back at my wives.

“Strip dancing.” Nanya replied.

“I see... Wait what?” I blinked surprised and looked back at Lumia.

“Well...” she was trying to say something, but she kept on avoiding my gaze.

“Sigh... Don't worry, with my wives around I wasn't planning on having you do a strip dance for me. If I wanted one, I would have just asked them. And frankly speaking, I'm just glad I was hit by an anvil and not Zoreya's shield a moment ago.” I laughed awkwardly “Ahem! Anyway, just a normal dance will do. You like dancing, right?” I asked her.

“Yes... If it's a normal dance, I can do that, but what about music?” she asked.

“Ayuseya? Do you mind playing something for us?” I asked her.

“Sure! Let me get my violin.” she replied with a nod.

Looking back at Lumia, I smiled and patted her on the head. She made a cute face when I did this. It felt like I was petting a cute rabbit.

Not long afterwards, Ayuseya began to play a song. The tune was lively, but it was clear that she had gotten better at it. During those six years spent on the Boss Island, she did practice quite a lot in her free time. We all loved to listen to her play, and we never got tired of it. Then again, it was either her or my croaking attempts at singing. I managed to scare off a T-Rex and cause Tamara to faint, so... that was an undesirable alternative. In my defense, I never learned how to properly control my voice, and I wasn't one with an interest in singing either. I loved to hear it not be the one to do it.

Lumia listened to the song with her eyes closed and then, when the time was right, she began to move her body, swaying left and right. Her movements flowed freely and the more I watched her, the more I got the feeling that she was being guided, no... carried by the melody itself.

A proper Magic Academy should have a music class of some sort... and a dance one... I thought and then looked over at Nanya who was calmly listening to the music and watching Lumia dance.

With a smile on my lips, I got up and approached the demoness.

“Thanks.” I told her and then gave her a kiss on the cheek.

“What was that for?” she asked surprised as she looked back at me.

“For this.” I replied and looked at the dancing Lumia. “My Magic Academy was missing the important factor of Entertainment. I never thought about it before, but having a place to relax, listen to music, or simply to have fun after the long hours of school can be quite healing for both the mind and body. I'm going to think seriously about how I should enrich this part of my students and teachers' lives.” I smiled.

“Is that so? I'm glad you see it that way, but I think Lumia has the potential to become a great teacher as well. I've never seen someone dance as beautifully as she does.” Nanya said.

“That's because she knows the secret: love your art.” I said and then went to check up on the last remaining slave.

Nanya didn't say anything else and returned to watching Lumia dance and hearing Ayuseya play with everyone else.

As I stood in front of the sealed Supreme, I could feel a tinge of pity in my heart. Her freedom had been restricted far too much, and the way everyone else behaved with her was unreasonable. So many of those nobles wanted to buy her just because she looked beautiful and she was a virgin. Not even one thought about her dreams and wishes. While I looked at her back there at the auction house, this was what I was thinking about.

What's your dream, Savannah? Why does someone as powerful as you want to teach? I thought and then I spoke the words which turned off the enchantments that kept her in a vegetable like state “As your Master, I now command thee, Savannah Azura to return to your sense. May all enchantments that keep you bound in this state be turned off.”

It was rather convenient that they made the words needed to turn them off as simple as this. In case I ever wanted for her to return to her previous state, basically to turn her off, I just had to say: Enchantments of Mind activate.

With the enchantments turned off, Savannah regained the light in her eyes, and she looked around confused.

“Do you know where you are?” I asked her.

She nodded.

“Hm? The enchantments don't turn off your memory, just your ability to react. Is that right?” I asked.

She nodded.

“You may speak if you wish. I grant you the right to express yourself as you wish.” I told her.

“Thank you, master.” she said and then made a polite bow.

“Can you tell me why you were branded with those tattoos?” I asked her and pointed at them.

Meanwhile, several of the other slaves, asked for permission from my wives to dance together with Lumia. It was turning into a real party, and Ayuseya was also having fun playing for them.

“No, I'm afraid I can't... I am bound by the curse in this collar.” Savannah replied and pointed at it.

“I do remember them saying something about that, but tell me, did you ever had any intention of usurping the Emperor?” I asked her.

She shook her head.

“Then I guess the reason for cutting off your power and chaining you up like this wasn't because of something as silly as attempting to take his throne away from him, was it?” I asked.

She looked away, but despite the fact that she wanted to speak, I could feel like she wasn't able to tell me anything specific. The spell inside her collar forbade her from doing so.

“Hm. Can you teach others what you have learned so far?” I asked her.

Looking down, she then shook her head.

This is a surprise. I thought.

“Why?” I asked.

“The spell stops me from saying anything that I learned off in the Imperial Palace, be it simple rumors or knowledge from books. Since I myself have studied and learned everything in the Imperial Library, I can't speak of it. Thus, I can't teach.” she looked down, clenching her fists.

“So they lied about you holding worth through your knowledge.” I said rubbing my chin.

She nodded.

“Let me guess. Normally, I was to find out you are useless in this part. I would get angry, but since you were enslaved by Imperial Decree, I wouldn't be able to blame the one who enslaved you unless I wished to be condemned for treason. Thus, you would end up being the only left on whom I could get angry. In this sense, I would either rape you or use you to please other men. If I was really angry, I was to begin beating you and even mutilate you. Right?” I asked in a calm tone of voice as I explained all those dreadful scenarios.

“Yes...” she replied in a trembling tone of voice.

“Hm... so rape or mutilation, is it?” I said and closed my eyes.

Of course, I wasn't going to do any of that. I had five wives who could perfectly satisfy all of my sexual needs, and their jealousy or anger wasn't something I wished to bring down upon myself. My only question floating through my head right now was 'why did the Emperor do this to her?'.

“Jeez! This is troublesome! I can't get any information out of you because of this stupid collar!” I grumbled scratching my head.

“I apologize.” Savannah bowed her head and gulped.

She was afraid. Despite being a powerful Supreme, she was afraid in this weakened state of hers. With her powers bound and her knowledge sealed, she was at the mercy of the one before her. Looking at things from the point of view of someone living in Paramanium Empire, she had no use other than that of being the mother of her master's child or becoming the toy of whoever wanted to take her for a ride.

It was an unpleasant and disgusting state, and I didn't wish for her to be like this.

“Listen Savannah. I'm far more powerful than a Supreme and all of my wives can easily beat one to a pulp.” I told her.

“What?” she blinked surprised.

“At the same time, running away from me will only lead you to becoming a hunted woman in this empire. You understand this, right?” I said.

“Of course, but why are you telling me all of this?” she asked confused.

“In the near future, I'm going to build a Magic Academy. If you could and were given the opportunity, would you consider working there as full-time teacher?” I asked her.

“What? But this collar...” she said looking down.

“Just answer my question, Savannah.” I told her.

“If I could and it were possible, although I don't see how, yes... I would like to become a teacher at a Magic Academy. I love to teach others, especially children... I always wanted to teach, and it has been my dream to be a teacher ever since I was but a small child. My increase in power was only a result of that. My Magic Energy is high, and I know a lot of spells, but my strength and speed are below the average Godlike.” she told me.

“I understand. In this case, I'm going to put my bet on you and remove this collar from your neck.” I told her with a smile.

“You will what? But how? That's not possible...” she said.

Ignoring her words, I closed my eyes and spread my Magic Energy towards her collar. There were countless enchants on it and magic seals. They were connected to the shackles on her hands and the tattoo on her body. Surprisingly, the tattoo acted like a generator that constantly sucked out Magic Energy from her body, while the shackles and collar prevented her from manifesting her true strength and revealing what she learned.

Just by looking at it, I knew that the one who made it put an incredible amount of time in learning how to control and move Magic Energy in such a way that it did all of this. Just the collar alone must have taken years of enchanting, while the tattoos were definitely not made in one sitting. It made me shudder just by thinking of what Savannah might have gone through while having this thing applied on her body.

Fortunately, despite how complex and how long it took for someone to make it, this thing was only a cheap copy of what my [Make Slave] spell did. Understanding how it worked allowed me to do what those who made it thought to be impossible.

Absorbing the Magic Energy inside the collar would have been troublesome as it recharged from her body. Ripping it off by force would result in her tattoo overcharging and eventually blowing up. So, my only option besides that of turning her into my slave through my spell was to infuse my magic energy inside her tattoo, then I had to control it in such a way that I managed to cut it off from her Magic Energy. Once this was done, I basically stopped supplying Magic Energy to the tattoo while I simultaneously absorbed the one from her collar and shackles.

When there was no more Magic Energy to absorb, the device basically turned off. This was the point where I removed the tattoo from her back. Unfortunately, because it was fused to her skin, I had no other choice but to surgically cut it off, while at the same time use my Magic Energy to help her regenerate the lost tissue. Needless to say that all of this was done under magic induced anesthesia.

Several minutes later, the procedure was over and the removed skin dropped on the ground with a flop.

“W-What just happened?” Savannah asked confused.

“I just removed the tattoo. No worries.” I said and then placed my hands on her golden collar.

With a crack, I ripped in half and tossed it aside. Then I ripped off her shackles as well.

With this, she was completely free.

“Congratulations on having earned your freedom back!” I said with a smile.

“W-What? What?” she was still in a confused state of mind, but while she was like this, I gathered these remains into a pile and then sent shot a fireball at them, burning the skin and melting the metal.

This action caught the attention of everyone here, but I ignored their stares for now and looked back at Savannah.

“As I said. You are now free.” I told her with a soft smile on my lips.

[Random Guard's point of view]

A few hours after the last of the Marquise guests had left, I was called to the Guard Room together with several of my comrades. There, I found the angry Head Butler looking at a coffer filled three thirds with rocks and dirt. Next to him laid the bodies of two of the guards who had been guarding this place.

For a moment, I thought they were killed by thieves, but then I saw the blood-drenched blade in the Head Butler's hands.

Achaaa! He killed the guards again... I thought.

Whenever a thief managed to sneak inside and then flee, the Head Butler had the tendency to beat up to a bloody pulp all the guards he found responsible for letting him slip through. If he was REALLY angry, he would just end up killing them or beating them with his fist until they died.

None of us wanted to meet the fate of these poor bastards, so we always tried to do our jobs as best as we could, but we were still humans... We had our moments of weakness.

“I want you to find WHOEVER did this and bring them to me! NOW!!!” he ordered and pointed at the coffer.

“GYAAA!!!”

At that moment, we heard the Marquise's scream coming from the mansion. We rushed there as fast as we could, but what I saw was terrible...

“Ugh... it hurts...” cried the fat man as he laid with his pants pulled down at his ankles and looking up at the ceiling.

“MASTER! What happened?! Who did this to you?!” asked the Head Butler before he rushed over to his side.

The guards and I as well were trying to look anywhere else except the bottom half of the Marquise. We didn't want to burst into a laughter, but we could say that the extravagant parties and high-class attitude were overcompensating for something.

“Water... splash... toilet... hurt... walls... hit... ouchie...” he said and then fainted.

At the same time, I heard the cry of a maid.

“KYAAA!” and when I looked up, I saw the poor woman being pushed forward by an insane amount of water.

I immediately jumped towards her and shielded her with my body before she hit the walls like the poor Marquise did. The other guards raised a shield around our Master and protected them from the water.

When everything calmed down, I let out a sigh of relief. The maid in my arms looked up at me with a strong blush.

“C-Could y-you p-please... y-your h-hand...” she looked down embarrassed.

I realized then that I was holding her in a rather indecent manner.

“I APOLOGIZE!” I declared and stood up straight.

“Gaku!” unfortunately, I got up too late and the poor woman was dropped like a rock.

She hit her head on the floor and it was lights out for her.

“Oh... oops.” I mumbled when I realized what I had done.

After quickly pulling her skirt down because everything down below the belt was visible, I let her rest next to the wall and then walked towards the other guards.

“What's happening here?” I asked.

“I don't know, you imbecile! But make sure to find out!” the Head Butler screamed at me after pulling up the Master's pants.

At this moment, the merchant hired by the Head Butler to count the coins appeared from the corridor on the right. His face was green and after another step puked where he stood.

“What in the name of all that's sane is going here?!” screamed the Head Butler.

“Stink... Stink Slimes... everywhere... Sand... coins... ugh.” and he fainted as well.

It was then when I knew that I was going to end up slapped by that cute maid I just saved and punched in the face by the Head Butler for not knowing what was going on.

All I could do was sigh and hope no more surprises were going to pop up.

Least did we know that we would have a very cold and looong weak ahead of us.
