~ Chapter 119: Under attack ~

[First Prince's point of view]

It has been over a month since the Godlike Dungeon Lord Illsyore has been last spotted in the Paramanium Empire in the Ilia Port City. By now, father was embarking on the flag ship of our naval fleet and preparing a huge armada to intercept and presumably defeat this powerful entity.

During the time my family was preparing for war, I managed to persuade and stop several important noble families from participating in this crusade. Thus, I spared just enough forces to establish a defensive perimeter alongside our borders just in case father failed miserably, as I assumed he would. Although all most working sailing vessels had been seized and sent to Ilia Port, I secretly put in orders for the construction of several navy galleons. If father were to lose too many of our ships, we would find ourselves in a tricky position where we could not defend our territorial waters anymore.

Father was praised as a wise and powerful Emperor, but his fame was mostly inherited from my grandfather, the former Emperor. Ever since he picked up the throne, he did not bring even a single significant change to Paramanium, but I could at least praise him for fooling most people into believing that he simply chose not to embark on a conquering campaign.

He could not fool me, however, there were way too many unbelievably foolish orders he gave to his subordinates. Thanks to him, we lost the favor of many good me; the human supremacy cult rose to unprecedented heights; and our relationships with our neighboring countries have been getting worse with each ambassador we sent to them.

However, I wasn't blaming everything on father. The Prime Minister who stood by his side as an adviser was half responsible for all of the bad decisions so far, but whenever he was put to blame, he managed to twist his words in such a way that it made you think it was just an unfavorable circumstance. My brother was gullible enough to believe every word this man said, and father saw him as a friend.

I was the first-born prince, the crown prince, but this didn't mean that my family favored me to become the king. Without a good enough support from the nobles, I was never going to gain the crown. As for mother, she wasn't one who ever wished to meddle in politics. Her stance was neutral whatever the outcome of our war.

At the very least, I wasn't doing as bad as my younger brother, the fourth prince, who forced upon Teslov that murdering psychopath Dankyun. Yet, what sort of twist of fate was this when father signed the release paper for this draconian in order to put him in a special Supreme squad?

Picking up the report in question, I found it rather troubling of how little information I had on this imperial decision. While the purpose of this makeshift team was to act as a paramilitary unit all over Paramanium and our neighboring allies, completing Supreme-class missions, the complexity behind orchestrating the creation of this unit was definitely not something father could have come up with.

Was it the Prime Minister? I wondered.

Putting down this report, I looked over the opened map of the Paramanium Empire on my desk and contemplated the current political power my faction held.

Thanks to father's decision to hunt down that Dungeon Lord, a lot of the smart nobles are beginning to doubt his ability to rule. Although there are several Lords who have yet to reply to the Imperial Call to Arms, they have not replied to my calls either. In fact, I'm already suspecting they are going to turn their swords against the Empire, especially those few on the Allasn Continent and to the South near the Teslov Kingdom's border. I thought as I followed with my finger on the map the line of the southern border of the empire.

“What do they want? Or are they waiting to see who wins the power struggle here at the capital?” I said and then I leaned back into my chair.

My faction was currently growing in strength, this was certain, but until father returned defeated by the Dungeon Lord or was proclaimed dead, I couldn't really make a move. Many of the nobles weren't so foolish as to immediately declare their allegiance to me either. They were smart Merions who waited patiently for the right food to drop on their tray. Only when they were certain they could feast in safety would they attempt to step forward.

My mind also went to Savannah Azura, the woman who captured my heart and was currently in the presence of Illsyore. I prayed and hoped for her safety above anything else. If any of my father's men managed to harm her, I would make sure they would regret to have ever been born!

[Illsyore's point of view]

After we spent the first night on the island, I decided to change the location of the pier and moved it all the way to the Northwest corner of the island. On a 1-kilometer area, I constructed a docking area with three big piers which extended half a kilometer towards the ocean. They were all connected to a cement pier next to the beach, which had only one path crossing the 1-kilometer-wide beach.

There, at the end of it, I made a reception building designed to act as an inn as well for whatever guests we were to have in the future. Behind it, I built a 1000 meters long and 500 meters wide warehouse designed to store various non-perishable goods.

Because I promised Riveron Sei and Rengar Baria that I was going to let them farm on their own lands, I let them cultivate a big surface of 2 km2. At a distance of about 1 kilometer from it was the big wall of my academy.

Before I started working on this project, I built the first residential sector of the island, located in front of the inn and right next to the beach. All the adults and teenagers got their very own house, but the children were too young to take care of themselves, so I built for them a dormitory and temporarily assigned Savannah as the gorgeous manager there. Through her guidance, they were going to learn how to take care of themselves until they were ready to live on their own.

[At that time, somewhere on the island, all of Illsyore's wives felt a disturbance in the air]

“Hm, my wife sense is tingling.” said Nanya as she took out an anvil.

[Getting back to Illsyore]

On the beach, not that far away from the docks, I built a beach house. It was just a dummy building with the sole purpose of testing out the effects of the high tide all around the year. Depending on the results, I would know how to build a resort here and use the beach as a tourist attraction. With me around, this place was going to be safe from monsters and bandits. There would be no need for people to worry about their stuff being stolen or something lurking in the depths.

Now the academy grounds were built the last. It covered an area of three-by-three kilometers. The main building, which was about two kilometers long, one wide, and had five floors with a flat modern-style rooftop, had a C shape with the front towards the beach. The entry path was paved with stone and formed a T shape. The entire ground was covered with grass, but in the North, I made a place for Zertan to grow his herb garden, and in the South was a small stadium for Physical Education classes.

The academy grounds were surrounded by a ten meters tall wall with four tall guard towers. From above it might have looked more like a prison than a school, but I made it like this to give the impression of all those who were looking from outside that this was the most important place on the island.

In a way, it really was like that because way near the East wall, behind the academy building, was my home, which doubled as a dungeon entrance. Although I had yet to build it, this dungeon was going to play a crucial role in developing the minds and abilities of my students.

For now, besides the teachers themselves, everyone else was enrolled at the academy. As soon as I finished building everything else, including adding the furniture in the school, and setting up the library, I was going to officially start classes.

Building all of these took me around two weeks, but the last part, the dungeon, was still in the works. I had to make sure it wasn't going to be an actual easy one, not my type of 'easy', so I had Nanya and Savannah supervise the construction as the two of them were the most fit at giving me the right pointers. If it were up to me, Supreme Ranked Adventurers would barely be able to finish the first floor, let alone the whole dungeon.

Thus, a month and two weeks had passed since we came to this island, and everything was starting to look nice, including the dungeon. There had been a few ships who dropped by out of curiosity. They traded a few goods and then left. To make sure they were going to return, I bought a lot of things from them, and I even offered the captain a hefty sum to spread the right words about my little settlement here.

With my Dungeon Territory covering the entire surface of this island and a few kilometers of water around it, I was well prepared in case of an invasion, or so I thought.

When I mentioned this, Shanteya reminded me that spells and items capable of hiding one's presence from the Dungeon Territory's detection ability weren't that hard to come by, especially if they knew where to look. The Godlikes and Supremes alike often used these items in order to get a moment of relief when they were exploring a powerful dungeon.

In light of this new information, I decided that having a patrol force was going to do a better job at keeping the island safe. Thus, I summoned twenty imps that were level 1250 and equipped them with a good weapon and armor, minus the boots. They preferred to walk barefooted for obvious religious reasons.

To patrol the skies, I summoned ten harpies and five griffins with levels between 1000 and 1100. For most of the people living on the three continents, even one of these monsters was a bit overkill, but they stood as proof of my might.

These monsters had been given some rather strict rules to follow, and unless me or one of my wives gave the 'kill' order, they were not allowed to take the life of another sapient being. One of their main duties was also to raise an alarm when they spotted the approach of a large monster or a big fleet of ships.

Since no proper settlement could exist without a watchtower or two, I refitted the academy's guard towers. On top of each of it, I placed a gatling laser turret that could be operated by anyone I gave permission to. If an intruder tried to activate it or some kid wondered off and decided to play pew pew, it would not work.

The source of power for this thing was going to come from the Magic Energy Collector Crystal network which I planned to build in the upcoming period. For now, I supplied their Battery Crystals myself. For now, it was more than enough to maintain proper living conditions.

During the past two and a half months, I was so busy with everything, I managed to forget completely about the fact that Paramanium was still after me for a rather obscure reason I never bothered to find out. Then, one day, I was woken up from my slumber by the alarm given by my harpy monsters.

Everyone on the island, as soon as they heard the sound of bells and screeches of the monsters, they took shelter in the basement of the academy, which had walls made out of enchanted Inconel alloy.

Basically speaking, it was a bunker, a fallout shelter of sorts.

Once I got dressed, I joined my wives, who were waiting for me on top of the academy's walls looking towards the ocean.

“What's going on?” I asked.

“Look.” Nanya pointed at a fleet of 86 large galleons with their cannons aimed at us.

“What's this?” I asked again.

“It appears to be Paramanium's main naval fleet, but I'm also spotting boats bearing either the Shoraya flag or the Teslov flag.” said Shanteya as she squinted her eyes at the tiny boats on the horizon.

“It's an allied fleet.” Ayuseya said.

“Then there must be Feyan boats as well among them.” Nanya pointed out.

“Basically, that's more or less the naval fleet of the Allasn and Thorya continent?” I asked.

“No.” Ayuseya shook her head “Maybe a big part of Paramanium's and a few support ships that belong to the other kingdoms. Their whole fleet could easily surpass a number of 300 strong vessels.” she explained.

“Then this must be a subjugation force.” I nodded.

“Yes, most likely.” Nanya nodded.

“Alright! Let's go talk with them. Maybe we can end this peacefully without getting violent. Zoreya, Tamara, and Ayuseya stay here and protect Shanteya and the others.” I told them.

“By my shield I swear to do as you have asked! And fear not, these mongrels who call themselves warriors do not have the blessing of Melkuth! They will fail if they dare to attack!” the High Apostle gave me her usual reply, while the others merely nodded once.

Somehow, it's hard to imagine her wearing sexy provocative lingerie under all that bulky armor... or maybe none at all. I thought to myself.

As if reading my mind, Zoreya blushed and looked away.

A few minutes later, I was at the end of the pier, looking at the big fleet ahead. They were at a distance of around one kilometer away from us, aiming their cannons at us, and awaited their commander's order.

“What should we do now?” Nanya asked.

“Let's see what they have to say.” I shrugged and then I activated a spell which sent my voice across a large area, which incorporated the whole fleet “Ahoy there! This is Illsyore Deus, a Godlike Dungeon. May I ask what you're doing here?”

I waited for a little while, and just when I was about to send another message, I heard their reply.

“Dungeon, you are in the esteemed presence of his Majesty, Emperor Aldembard Paramanium of the Paramanium Empire! Your existence has been declared as a sacrilege against the good will of our nation's people, and we have gathered our forces to make you kneel before his esteemed Majesty! Cease and decease any aggrieving actions you may wish to take and offer an unconditional surrender at once or we shall be forced to exterminate you!” said a man with the help of a similar spell as mine.

Hearing this preposterous thing, I couldn't help but feel like I didn't hear it right, so, I let my voice be known “Can you repeat that? You kind got cut off here and there... I think I didn't catch all of that.”

Of course, I was just making sure that he really did say something as ridiculous as that.

The human confirmed my suspicions and repeated that message.

I let out a sigh and shook my head.

“I think if we have Zoreya declare who she is, they will think twice before doing something stupid.” Nanya suggested.

My wife was indeed a High Apostle of the God of War, and it was highly improbably they wouldn't at least listen to her, however, I remembered what Ayuseya told me a while ago. The very moment I set up my academy, I became a power in the struggle for dominance between the three big continents. As such, conflict was going to be extremely hard to avoid. I had to be prepared to crush my opponents or flee with my life.

The latter wasn't an option.

“I don't think that will cure their stupidity. Hm... What to do?” I wondered, but as soon as I said that, one of the ships opened fire and shot a cannon ball at us.

Nanya caught it before it landed.

“What's this? Are they playing catch? Here! I'll send it back!” she shouted and then tossed it at them.

The enemy wasn't even aiming at us. It was most likely an intimidation shot, but my wife would have none of that. The force she put into that attack was absolutely ridiculous. It flew through the air at a speed faster than sound, and pierced through the enemy vessel, heavily damaging it.

“You dare strike back! Elimination it is!” the guy from before shouted with the spell.

“Huh? What?” I blinked surprised.

These bastards never intended to have us surrender in the first place! I shouted in my mind.

With the situation being as it was, I had to make sure my academy was not going to get destroyed, so I lifted my hand up and let loose a yellow beam of light. It was the signal for Zoreya to activate her spell.

Right then, a magic shield dome covered the entire settlement. It was going to hold out well against these metal pebbles shot by the ships, but it wasn't going to hold out against the continuous barrage of a Supreme Ranked Adventurer. She could make one capable of doing so, but what was the use of that when the two of us were out here?

“They're attacking!” announced Nanya.

“Take care of them, pretty please. I'll make sure no one tries to sneak past Zoreya's shield.” I told her.

“Can I kill them?” she asked.

“Keep the casualties’ level to a minimum if possible. Cleaning up the bodies afterwards is going to be a pain.” I told her.

She smirked and gave me a thumbs up.

Why do I have a bad feeling about this? I wondered as I squinted my eyes at my demoness wife.

Before I had a chance to ask what her plan was, she spread her wings and flew up in the air.

[OVER BOOST]!” she shouted at the top of her lungs.

Yup! She activated her Over Supreme skill.

An aura of golden Magic Energy covered her body, which increased all of her base stats by 300%. A ridiculous amount given how powerful she already was, but this was not all, she could actively share her aura with us, but it only doubled the stats of her chosen allies. As such, I was covered by this golden aura as well, allowing me to feel how ridiculous this boost was.

When she was in this state, all of her direct physical attacks were devastating, but her Magic Energy was consumed fast, and she couldn't afford to cast any big spells either. It was a skill designed to be used only by melee attackers.

In the blink of an eye, Nanya arrived next to the first ship and punched it right in the prow. The attacks shattered the structural integrity of the ship. From afar, it looked as though it was ripped apart into pieces and then blown back by a powerful force, while the seawater at the surface turned into vapor.

I sincerely held no hope of survival for the crew onboard, but before the pieces of the ship had a chance to land on the water, Nanya appeared next to the second ship. She lifted it up out of the water and then ripped it in half in the middle of the air.

The crew jumped off, trying to flee and save themselves.

The demoness aimed for the next two vessels, which she destroyed by tossing the two halves of the destroyed ship at them. From another ship, I saw an armored man jumping towards her, but she swatted him with her tail like he was some sort of insignificant fly. A big splash could be seen far away from the combat area where he landed.

Dropping down on another ship, she punched the deck and shattered it to pieces, then she jumped to the next one, picked it up by the stern and sent it flying to another ship on the other side of the fleet.

Several of them opened fire on her, but none of the cannonballs hit her. Just for giggles she caught one and then molded the metal with her bare hands until it had an amorphous shape. Dropping it in the ocean, she skipped over the water until she arrived at the point between four ships. With a smile on her lips, she punched the water surface at her feet, causing it to explode and raise the nearby ships into the air.

To be more specific, her punch was the equivalent of a mini nuke explosion with a 1.5 kiloton yield. This meant that 70 meters around her, the water simply turned to vapor, and in continuation, a water crater was formed with a radius of 620 meters, which sent a shockwave over an area of 2.13 km2 around her. If not for Zoreya's shield, I would have needed to rebuild the whole settlement. The beach under my feet was partially blown away, and there was also a ten meters high tsunami, which I blasted with my laser to break the surface tension and stop its advance. The beach house was also gone, but I could rebuild it later.

As the smoke from the evaporated water dispersed, I could finally see the outcome of Nanya's attack. More than twenty ships had been turned upside down and sinking fast, while the initial four around her had been shattered to pieces because they were too close to the point of impact. Sailors were screaming for help and bodies laid floating on the sea, they were the unfortunate fellows who were met with Death's sharp scythe.

Unfortunately for them, Nanya was not yet ready to stop the mayhem she had unleashed. With a wide smirk on her lips like a crazy lunatic who escaped the asylum, she rushed towards the boats that were still able to sail. Clenching her fists, she punched the first one to come into sight, shattering it to pieces, then she went for the second one and then the third one. Without stopping, she continued to destroy the enemy vessels, even those that gave up the fight and were trying to retreat.

I may have seen things wrong, but there were a few who jumped towards her, trying to attack her with their weapons or spells, but they got swatted away like flies, punched or slapped and sent flying hundreds of meters away from her.

When she got tired of punching, she picked up the boats and tossed them one into another. That insane strength of hers made her a fearsome opponent to have, but if I were to point out something about her prowess, that would be the fact that Tamara could flee from her with her speed, Ayuseya could keep her distance while bombarding her with powerful magic, Zoreya's shield was more durable than it looked, and Shanteya had a few aces up her sleeve as well. Out of all of them, Nanya had the best chances of winning against Tamara and Shanteya, while those two could win against Zoreya and Ayuseya. Actually, Zoreya was overall a buffed-up tank with an insane amounts of health points. Defeating her was a matter of perseverance rather than skill and brute strength.

By now more than half of the enemy fleet had been sunk, and Nanya showed no signs of stopping any time too soon. Without even using a single spell besides the [Over Boost], she managed to play with them like they were toys. All of the enemy's attacks were useless against her. Their spells didn't connect, and their cannonballs bounced off of her like they were rubber balls.

Through some miracle, however, there were not that many dead, just the unlucky few who were too close to the impact location of her strikes. I was suspecting some of the soldiers brought on those ships were actually adventurers or some sort of nobles because their armors differed in color and shape. If any of them were Supremes or not remained to be seem, but they would most likely be the ones with the highest chances of survival and also the only ones brave enough to attack her.

When they saw themselves in this helpless situation, the commanders began to shout out orders of attack instead of retreat. It was clear they were intent on defeating Nanya, and for some unknown mythical reason, they actually believe they stood a chance.

My wife showed them no mercy. She dodged their cannonballs and even kicked back several of them, completely destroying their vessels because of the impact force. The sounds made by her punches and kicks were Sonic Booms. They broke the sound barrier, and the shockwave was transmitted to all those unlucky enough to be too close to it. From that distance I was at, it was still quite loud, so I could only imagine the many ruptured eardrums the sailors suffered, especially if their Magic Armor wasn't powerful enough to suppress it. I didn't even think about what the blown off debris from the ships did to those inside and around it.

The death count was going up with each of her attacks, but I felt no regret or pity for those people. The moment they stepped on my 'lawn' and demanded for me to listen to their nonsense, that was the moment when they should have been prepared to risk their lives for those beliefs of theirs.

If they so much as shouted 'we give up' or 'we surrender', I would have called off the attack, but they only cared about attacking us. This wasn't a battle; it was a slaughter of insignificant ants who dared attack an anteater.

Thus, I waited patiently for the battle to end. Only seventeen ships raised the white flag and they were all from Shoraya, Feyan, and Teslov. Nanya ignored them, but she obliterated all the other ones.

Even when there was only one ship left from the Paramanium Empire, they still dared to bare their fangs at us. As a reward, we plucked them out and destroyed their vessel.

With the battle finally coming to a stop, Nanya released her [Over Boost] and the golden aura vanished. With a satisfied smile on her lips, she plucked the unconscious Emperor from the sea and brought him over to me. It was easy to spot him, he was the only one wearing fancy clothes and a long majestic regal coat.

With a loud thud, the human was dropped on sand in front of me, while she circled around in the air, keeping an eye out for any trouble.

I made sure the man was still breathing and then sent an electric shock through his body to wake him up.

“UGYAAA!” he screamed when I zapped him.

“Oh! You're awake! Good!” I said with a smile and then I activate the long-distance voice transmission spell, so every survivor out there could hear us.

“W-Who? Wha-What happened? H-How dare you speak like this to your Emperor!” he shouted, quickly returning to his persona.

“Yeah, I'm a Dungeon, buddy, you never were and never will be my Emperor. I'll speak how I please and if I don't like you, I'll just kill you. It's as simple as that. Now, do you know where you are and why you are here?” I asked with a smile on my face.

“S-such words! I should have you hanged!” he shouted and pointed his hand at me.

“He's not listening... Sigh. Maybe this will help jog your memory about who you are standing before right now.” I said and then grabbed his arm at the elbow and wrist.

With a twist of my wrists, the bones bent in the wrong way and broke.

The cracking sounds were heard loud and clear over the voice transmission spell. Then came his howl of pain.

“AGYAAA! MY ARM! MY ARM! YOU BROKE IT!”

I let out a sigh and then grabbed him by the throat and forced him to look at me.

“Now that I got your attention, do you understand your current predicament? My wife just wiped out your entire fleet. You have no ships left. Your troops are in a miserable state and even if by some miracle of the gods you would win this battle, you have no way of returning to the mainland.” I told him and narrowed my eyes at him.

“Ugh... Y-You monster...” he said.

“Monster? I'm no monster, but you who sent your troops on this death quest maybe are one.” I showed him a smirk.

“ I-I am the E-Emperor of the Paramanium Empire by right! They should be glad to give their lives for me!” he rebuked.

“Really now? What if I promised to send them all back to the mainland and even help heal their wounds? Oh, and how about if I paid them whatever salary you promised them as well? Of course, all of this in exchange for killing you. Do you think they wouldn't accept?” I asked with smirk.

“What? Of course, they won't! No one will dare to touch me! I am their Emperor!” he shouted.

I was beginning to feel like the pain I had caused him wasn't enough.

Letting out a sigh, I dropped him on the ground and said “This guy's useless.” I then turned to the sea and asked “Any Supremes out there who survived my wife's attack?” I asked. “I promise I won't kill you, so come over here.”

A few moments later, seven severely injured individuals appeared before me. With parts of their armors cracked and shattered, broken swords, bones and bruises all over their bodies, they gave me the impression that they went through some cruel unspeakable battle from which they barely got out of alive. Thinking that they were just slapped to the sidelines by my wife made this heroic battle worn appearance less heroic and more comical.

“I am Ulgrad Davenko.” said the oldest of them.

“I am Duke Tarrisom Besfor.” said the one to his right with a broken arm.

“I am Baron Zivir Masharya.” said the one to the left of Ulgrad.

“I am Earl Passifiso Bashavar.” said the one who appeared to be the youngest among them.

“I am Baroness Bulvina Vegiva.” said the only woman among them, a beauty with a broken lip and her left hand twisted in the wrong way.

“I am Zuvan...” he coughed twice with a bit of blood “Apologies... A piece of metal pierced my lung... I am Zuvan Valdagar...” said a middle-aged man with a warrior gaze.

“And I am Baron Balustrad Adriano Bartholi Veroli Capricionni Fervia Selionari Marchiaveli Herasia.” he said.

“Long name...” I commented.

“My parents were weird; you may call me Adriano.” he bowed his head once.

At the very least these seven showed more respect and situational awareness than their so-called ruler did.

“Good. Now, please tell your Emperor what you think about my previous statement and how the people under him will react because it’s clear that he doesn't give a Merion's tail for either the nobles or peasants out there.” I said to them.

The seven Supremes looked at each other for a moment and then Ulgrad spoke.

“Your Majesty, it saddens me to inform you that what this Dungeon here said is the absolute truth. If he indeed makes such a proposition, you will be torn to shreds by our troops.” he stated.

“What? But I... ugh.” he finally remembered his broken arm and glared back at the Supreme “I am the Emperor! I order you to defend me and kill this thing!” he demanded.

“And we're telling you that he's far surpassed the power of a Supreme. It is a miracle we aren't dead as it is!” Zuvan rebuked in anger and then coughed a few times.

“Yes! We came here because we were ordered to do so! But there's a limit to even what we will obey! Following a foolish leader to our deaths is not one of those things! You may call it treason, but without us Supremes, your great Empire would fall in a matter of days!” Baroness Vegiva pointed out.

“This expedition has been nothing but a failure!” Earl Bashavar, the youngest of the Supremes, complained.

“Without accurately assessing the strength of our enemy, you sent all of us at death's door! Now you even wish to claim that we nobles will stand quiet while you send us to our deaths?! There is a limit to being a fool, your Majesty, and I say this for your sake, when you pass that limit, you're paying not with gold but the very blood running through your veins!” Duke Besfor rebuked.

“It is simply a wonder we are still alive... I have never met in my life anyone as powerful as that flying woman.” said Baron Adriano as he looked up at Nanya.

“I fear that not even if we were to employ the full power of all the Supremes on the three continents could we win in a battle against this Dungeon.” Baron Masharya spoke in a regretful tone of voice.

They all came out and spoke against their Emperor's orders.

Now, I could understand why this man with the broken arm, erm... the Emperor not one of the Supremes, reacted in this manner. He basically still couldn't believe or accept the fact that he had lost. To be more specific, I defeated his entire force faster than his mind could process, as such, he still believed that he held the upper hand.

“Look behind you, your Majesty, you have no more boats left. Your men are struggling to stay alive, yet you keep insisting that even in these conditions they must give up their lives for you.” I said and pointed at the open sea behind him, which was filled with the wreckage of his fleet and swarmed by thousands of men who struggled to stay alive.

When the Emperor finally looked behind him, the image and state of his fleet came as a shock. He mumbled some incomprehensible words, but he finally began to understand that he completely lost this battle.

“Above all, as far as I am aware, it is required for at least two Supremes to be active in an unclaimed territory to declare it as a free nation. This island you're standing on was built by me, and those two Supreme officially recognized even by Paramanium Empire are Savannah Azura, whom you are acquainted with, and Zoreya Eleanor Alttoros Deus, a High Apostle of Melkuth the God of War.” I told him.

“W-What?” he looked back at me with eyes of disbelief.

“You may be aware that my name is Illsyore Deus. The name Deus was given to me by Melkuth himself. This means that not only am I am approved by your gods, I am also under their protection. You who challenged my home and declared war on those protected by the God of War were destined to fail from the very beginning.” I said in a clear and firm tone of voice.

Of course, declaring that Nanya was an Over Supreme who could slap Supremes around like it was a joke was probably harder to accept than knowing that two of their already recognized Supremes were present here as well as the fact that I was under divine protection. Melkuth had nothing to do with winning this battle, he probably just sighed and went on a coffee break when he saw the incoming fleet. There was no doubt that I was going to come out victorious, but again, bringing up his name and declaring that I was under his protection was far more believable both for those here and those back on the mainland.

“Hahaha! It's no wonder we lost so fast! Hahaha... ugh my ribs... it hurts.” Ulgrad laughed but stopped when he pushed himself too far.

“Don't go dying on me old man, just stay put until we can heal you.” Earl Bashavar said.

“Do you think I'll die just from this, you foolish child? Or are you hoping that in my absence there will be no one to stop you from claiming the hand of my granddaughter?” the old man glared at him.

“Tch!” the young Supreme clicked his tongue and looked away.

Seeing them act like this made it feel as though the tension of war had been completely lifted, but there was still a very important matter to settle before we could bring this to a close. What worried me was the decision this foolish Emperor was going to make. Even if he was mad, he still had the blood of royalty flowing through his veins. If he continued to declare war, I would be forced to end his life as well as that of those who sought to follow his orders until the end. Somehow, though, I didn't believe this man inspired that much loyalty from his people.

“I-I lost... Paramanium lost...” the Emperor said.

Letting out a sigh of relief, I closed my eyes for a moment and then said “You heard him. Your ruler official declared this to be my victory. Now, I'm going to rescue as many of you as possible, build you some boats and send you off back to Paramanium.” I showed them a smile.

“You... You'll do that for us?” one of the Supremes asked.

They were all quite surprised by my generosity.

“Of course. I never intended to make Paramanium an enemy.” I shrugged “This place is meant to be a place of higher learning, an Academy.” I told them.

“An Academy? You're saying you won't use this place to raise an army?” the oldest of the Supremes asked surprised.

“Why would I want to do that? Who even told you about such nonsense in the first place?” I raised an eyebrow at him “This place is going to be an Academy for all those who wish to learn and improve themselves. Foreign Politics will have no meaning here, so both nobles and peasants will be able to learn together. I know it sounds ridiculous to some of you, but this is just the type of place this island is going to be. Anyway, you guys stay put here. I'll go and save your troops.” I said and then flew up into the air and went over to where Nanya was.

From here on out it was a basic 'scoop the drowning sailor' game between me and my wife. I won in the end, and as a prize, I requested a kiss from her. Simple was the best.
