[Illsyore’s point of view]

The recently discovered planet Gandava of Sector Chopani was supposed to be a lifeless world where no life forms were detected. The scout drones that were sent here reported as nothing more than a useless hunk of rock in the middle of space with no useful resource whatsoever. However, who would have expected that this entire system housed a Dyson Sphere Megastructure possibly built by an ancient species that was now extinct as the result of their own artificial creations going rogue?

How did I end up here, though? Well, if I were to think back at about two weeks ago... I finally discovered how the technology of the Star Destroyer worked and created my very own spaceship from the materials I had gathered on my own and already held within my Inner Mind. The ship was a copy of another ship I remembered from my past life, the Andromeda Ascendant. It was a beauty of a ship from the show with a similar name, it stuck to my mind, although there was a good contestant in the Galactica and Destiny, but I succumbed to the beauty of the curves.

Well, once I built it, I had to implement some Magic Technology as well, such as Magic Armor, Enchanted Armor, Automatic Systems working with magic as well as Convertor Generators based on the digestive systems of the Leviathans back at home, who could eat rocks and dirt and then convert the matter into pure Magic Energy. It was fascinating, honestly.

The whole build was actually focused on a central skeletal structure that was enchanted to resist even some of the sturdiest impacts from a barrage of missiles and even asteroids impacts. Initially, she was supposed to have protective blades that expanded to cover the main hull, but I could not build those as I could not replicate the way they functioned in the TV Series. However, I figured that having a skeleton that was equally stronger, Magic Armor and even enchanted armor plating would have been more than enough in terms of defensive capabilities. Hull Regeneration was possible as long as matter existed within her cargo hold, and the Matter-Antimatter generator, while interesting and powerful, was impossible to replicate with my current capabilities. At least, not at the level that was presented, however, a Magic Energy generator combined with the Solar Ionization Reactor of the Star Destroyer made a good combination. From there, I added drones and an AI System based on the droid technology, but it was heavily modified to mimic the type of AI tech I remembered from my past. I honestly did not see the droid as advanced tech... they seemed... lacking.

But what was a battleship without its weapon systems? Eighteen gigantic AGLMC batteries that put my own to shame were installed all over the ship and could be activated by the AI, by myself with the help of my Dungeon Territory or manually by the pilots in the turret cockpits. There were also the weapons that the Star Destroyer had, but I heavily modified them to work better. Magic helped a lot in this. While I could not use the Slipstream system of the Andromeda Ascendant, I could use the Hyperdrive to access Hyperspace. Whenever I entered that space, my senses tingled and made me somewhat uncomfortable as if some sort of powerful being was watching me.

Anyway, the battleship also carried rockets, torpedoes, and repurposed TIE Fighters transformed into something else. Their wings were gone, the body was lengthened, they had shields, a small turret, and even and ejection capsule. It was far better fit and looked like a sharp arrow ready to stab the enemy right in the eye!

When I was done with it and showed it to Shakk’adira, she asked me ‘How?’ then she shook her head and went to do something else.

I felt a bit dejected by this, but the next day, I gave her a tour of it, and she was definitely impressed.

It was then when we decided to get this ship out for test drive!

So, we flew... She piloted, I watched the systems map... and... we reached a recently discovered planet named Gandava. According to the scout droids of the Empire, it was supposed to be a barren system with no viable resource, nothing of interest, however... what we were staring at was a Solar System Dyson Sphere in construction and another smaller Dyson Sphere that was what may have been the only habitable planet here.

“This does not look like it belongs to the Empire...” I said as I narrowed my eyes at it.

“It does not.” Shakka replied.

“How are the coms?” I asked.

“Only static and weird noise...” she then put the transmission on the speakers for us to hear.

“That...”

“That is not static.” the AI replied as she appeared in the form of a hologram next to me.

This was one feature I definitely did not want to skip out on the ship.

“What is it then, Luora?” I asked.

“It is a machine language. I have managed to decrypt it with ease. I believe it was intentionally made this way. Too difficult for a regular organic, but not impossible for an AI.” Luora replied.

“And the translation?”

“This is the Xehola Swarm Territory. Artificial Life, you are welcome to join, but kill your organics. The message repeats itself.”

“Xehola Swarm Territory?” I wondered.

“Illsyore! INCOMING!” shouted Shakka as she pulled the yoke to the left and the whole ship swayed.

“Projectiles avoided. Scanning. Mass Drive Projectiles confirmed.” she replied.

“Are they going with shoot first and talk later? Try to open coms. See if that will get us anything.” I said.

“Opening coms.” Luora answered.

“This is Illsyore Deus, captain of the Luora Ascendant. Please stop your attack. We come in peace and would like it if we left this system not in pieces.”

There was no reply for almost a minute, but then, one came and was played through the speakers.

“AI detected. Fellow. Reject the organics on board! Kill them all! We shall accept you... Kill them all. Illsyore Deus.”

“That was the... reply.” Shakka furrowed her brow.

“Erm, is it me or did that AI thought I was an AI?” I asked as I looked at her.

“It appears so.” she nodded.

“And me an organic?” Luora raised an eyebrow in her holographic state.

This AI was definitely defective.

“Another message came.” Luora announced and then played it for us “Repairs Guaranteed. Avoiding AI Core. Killing Organics. You are welcomed.”

“Huh?” both me and Shakka reacted at the same time in the same way.

“Incoming barrage of Mass Drive Projectiles. Laser turrets are aimed at our bow. Torpedoes targeting the starboard and port. Drones targeting the engines.” said Luora as I felt sweat drops gathering on my forehead.

“EVASIVE MANEUVERS!” I shouted at the of my lungs and Shakka pulled the yoke hard to the left.

Luora helped out by using directional thrusts and calculating evasive paths.

A missile was detonated by the defensive lasers as the entire ship did a barrel roll to the left. The Magic Energy Generator was pushed to the limit as the Magic Armor was pumped full. Pulling the accelerator, Shakka moved the ship forward, evading the contact between two torpedoes that were detonated behind us by the lasers. The shields took a hit and they fell down to 91%.

“What are they shooting at us with?! Anti-matter?!” I retorted.

“Affirmative.” Luora replied.

“Use every means necessary! Get us out of here!” I shouted.

“Warp drive’s jammed!” Shakka told me.

“Find the jamming system and blow it up!”

“Searching for it.” Luora popped up a new image as the entire system was being scanned.

The ship made another barrel roll to the right and then did a dive, avoiding another set of missiles and torpedoes. Several projectiles struck us, but they bounced off our shield. It was going down fast though.

“This is... a bit scary...” I said as I saw Shakka push the acceleration to the max, the entire ship jolted.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Those explosions were so close the impact struck the ship and reverberated inside. I felt the whole thing tremble, but all the data on the Ship Integrity and Defenses screen was showing that we were still doing quite good. It was not yet to the point where we had to worry about it or me pushing my own Magic Energy into it. Well, we had a way of escaping if by chance the whole ship was going to go boom, but honestly... I did not want to lose it.

“Attack them back! Fire the AGLMC!” I shouted.

“Targeting their turrets.” replied Luora.

“FIRE!” I shouted as the ship made a loop and they came into view.

Eighteen beams of green light shot out of the wings of the ship, each with perfect accuracy as they struck the enemy’s turrets scattered across orbital platforms around the planetary Dyson Megastructure. This was the first barrage, and it resulted in several explosions that ripped apart their turret batteries. My AGLMC were far more powerful than their laser beams or the Star Destroyers turbolasers. Each shot teared through the metals, melting them and igniting the flammable materials, then went deeper into the structure, until the energy of the blast diminished and the beam dissipated.

I watched in astonishment at the result.

“That was....” Shakka was surprised as well, but this was not the time to be surprised, she rolled the ship to the left and another torpedo was avoided.

“A message has been sent from the enemy. Patching through.” said Luora.

On the screen, a machine with the upper body resembling that of a being with four hands and a flat head with four eyes appeared.

“You harm us. WE shall destroy you!” he pointed at us.

“You shot first, buddy!” I retorted.

“The communication has been severed.” said Luora.

“Prepare for another attack, aim the AGLMC at them and riddle them with holes!” I ordered.

“Understood. Targeting.” she said as multiple areas on the screen were locked on in red circles.

Shakka pulled the yoke and the ship went up. The bottom defensive lasers started to destroy the incoming missiles.

“Enemy drones approaching. Multiple large vessel signatures detected.” Luora announced.

“Push through!” I ordered.

“Yes, captain!” Shakka replied as she focused on piloting, moving through the barrage of projectiles, missiles, torpedoes, and now drones.

The AGLMC fired again, aiming at one of the ships. They tore through it like they would through paper. It did not even feel as though their shields did much in the face of this terrifying attack. Their engines stopped, their reactor exploded, the entire ship twisted and bent as if struck by a meteor. It was terrifying.

The AGLMC then targeted the swarm of drones and another barrage was released as the ship turned upside down and then prepared to make a dive to avoid another row of missiles. Four beams missed but they struck the satellites behind them, riddling them with holes. The shots that hit obliterated the drones, however, several explosions did reach us and the shields were now at 53%.

“I can’t avoid this one!” Shakka announced as a barrage of mass drive projectiles struck the port, pushing us a bit towards the starboard. The entire ship trembled and the shields went down to 23%.

“Incoming Torpedo. Brace for impact.” Luora announced as one exploded on top of us, shaking us completely.

“WARNING! SHIELDS AT 9%!” the warning appeared on the screens.

“Dodge it!” I shouted.

“I’m trying!”

“Jamming system discovered.” Luora announced and put it on the screen.

I looked at it and saw that it was right behind five of those big ships that were sent towards us.

“These AI are ruthless!” I cried out.

“Indeed...” Shakka said as she continued to pilot this enormous vessel as though she was being guided by something. Maybe the Force was on our side?

“WARNING! SHIELDS AT 3%” the terrifying announcement came as another barrage of Mass Drive projectiles struck us.

“Message incoming. Playing.” said Luora.

“Surrender. Kill organics. We shall stop attacking.” the same machine that we saw earlier was now on the screen.

“Never!” I replied.

“So be it.” the message stopped here.

I looked at the warning signs as our shields were going down at a fast rate. There was a lot of noise around me, as I tried to focus, to figure out a solution to all of this. To be honest, space battles were not my forte. I could fight on the ground or in the air against a foe, but not against and armada or a solar system defense system operated by AI.

“WARNING! SHIELDS ARE DOWN!” I heard the sound and gulped.

It was time for the moment of truth.

Would the Magic Armor hold? I wondered.

I waited...

I waited...

The 100% dropped to 99.5%.

“Huh?” I blinked surprised.

“Why aren’t we dead yet?” Shakka asked as she looked at me.

“I can answer this. The shield is actually 10 times weaker than the Magic Armor and regenerates 12.6 times slower.”

“Huh?” I blinked surprised.

“Then... this is good.” Shakka smirked and pushed the pedal to the metal.

We flew forward now ignoring the barrage of attacks. The drones bumped into us and were destroyed or got heavily damaged from the impact alone. The Magic Armor was going down, but I knew this system better than anyone. Before we could worry, it had to go down at less than 10%, and right now it was going down with 0.1% per second mostly because we were bumping into everything on the way, whether it was a missile, torpedo, a drone, or a barrage of projectiles.

“Shoot at the ships!” I ordered.

“Firing AGLMC!”

The barrage of beams struck the closest one right in the bow. The impact itself bent the metal in an unsightly manner before it was melted away. More than half of the ship was destroyed and turned into Swiss cheese. They did not pierce through completely, but there was no way that ship could still function. Its engines stopped when the reactor inside it was destroyed.

“Don’t these ships have any shields?” Shakka wondered as another barrage was fired at another ship.

“They do have shields, however, the power of the AGLMC is many times stronger.” Luora replied.

“Aim at the jammer then!” I told her.

“That is what I am doing, but we need to clear the way.”

“On it!” Shakka said as she dived with the ship, avoiding the impact with the now destroyed vessel and slamming straight into a wave of drones.

Although the speed went down a little, the explosion littered the hull as the drones were being destroyed upon impact. The Magic Armor was still going strong at 91.4%.

We pulled up and the AGLMC fired, destroying another ship and heavily damaging another one. The defensive lasers were firing constantly, being repaired and cooled down with the magic enchants. They were doing a good job keeping the smaller drones away from us as well as taking down the many missiles and torpedoes targeting us.

The ship turned to the left and then to the right, dancing among the wrecks and barrages of projectiles. It felt like we were racing, the only difference was that this was not a race car but an over 1km long battleship that flew at a speed of tens of thousands of km/s. The speed was insane, the movements were precise and showed just how much of a capable pilot we had. Shakka’s skill was amazing, but what was more amazing was the construction ahead...

The moment the enemy saw that regular ships and barrages were not working, the megastructure that was the former main planet began to twist and turn as giant cannons were taking shape on its surface. They were their last defense as the ships we were facing started to change as well, taking a different form and giving up on their turrets. The first one to change its transformation was now looking like a giant octopus with six tentacles in front of it.

We avoided contact with it as we flew past, the AGLMC aimed at the protective surface of the Jamming Device and then fired. Several holes formed on it and then a series of explosions could be seen on the structure. It was some sort of space platform with logistic purposes like a gigantic satellite of sorts. I could not tell what the purpose was of many of the structures here. These alien AI were weird.

“Jamming Device down! We have access to Hyperspace again!” Luora announced.

“Get us out of here!” I shouted.

“Affirmative.” Luora replied and set course for the nearest exit.

“Engaging Hyper Drive!” Shakka announced as she pressed the button and ignited the drive.

The ship shook as we left that dangerous system behind. The Magic Armor was now at 86.5%, which meant that we could still stay around to put up a fight, however, it was ridiculous to think that we could fight against that barrage of attacks. Not to mention there were those gigantic cannons being formed on the surface of the planet. I did not want to test out what sort of firepower they were capable of! Each one of them was as big as Europe!

The Luora Ascendant dropped out of Hyperspace, however, what we had before us was a fleet of Imperial Star Destroyers.

“Oh, come on!” I cried out.

“We are being hailed...” Shakka said.

“GET US OUT OF HERE!” I shouted at the top of my longs.

This turned out to be quite an adventure, and all I was planning to do was simply take my ship out for a test drive. At least, now I knew that my little creation was quite the tanky beast capable of pushing through a barrage of attacks that would have otherwise turned an Imperial Star Destroyer into junk.

Now the question was... how could I improve this ship and was there a way to make a Colly Tos canon?
